Born and brought up in north-west England, Ruth Eastham has lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Italy, teaching creative writing to children and adults of all ages.
Ruth's debut novel, The Memory Cage was a finalist in the Waterstone's Book Prize, was shortlisted for the UKLA Book Awards and nominated for the Carnegie Medal.
Her award-winning second book, The Messenger Bird, is a tale of modern day treachery set in Bletchley Park. With a trail of secret clues and time running out fast, it's the story of one boy's desperate bid to save his dad.
Ruth's third novel, Arrowhead, is a tale of a Viking curse tightening around a remote town in Norway. Her latest book, The Jaguar Trials, is out in May.
