This is fantastic primer I have used it several times on several differing surfaces. The problem with spray is that people very rarely use it properly. Make sure you lightly sand the surface and spray evenly making sure you make many passes not too close. You can respray again within minutes so never try to put too much on. I have resprayed over black items with great results with no problems. A tip is If you get any drips wait for it to dry and sand it before recoating.

I bought this hoping to make a DIY job more easy but found the paint sprayed unevenly and dripped. Will stick to plain tins of undercoat in fuure.

This was just perfect for the task, which to be fair was a bit strange! I used this and a gloss radiator spray paint that made our solid Iron ceramic bath back to looking as new!!

Took almost the entire can to prime a dark-brown, wooden curtain pole. Just 1 curtain pole... If you were planning to prime a piece of furniture you'd probably need 2-3 cans...

Great wood primer. Creates a nice even prime coat on wood. My only problem is the can doesn't last as long as I had hoped. Otherwise a great primer for smooth and crisp primer finishes.

This did make the top coat easier to apply to the equipment that was rusted. I found the spray did not have too much of a spread effect either

This is a good product, especially if you're using it on the body of a guitar like I am, it doesn't leak, spill, or drip, as long as you use it from the appropriate distance. It does cover the whole body of the guitar (which is a fender precision bass) but there is only about 27% of the can left. The only fault I can find is that the cap is a little bit hard to push down, and it makes my hand ache after a few seconds. But despite this fault I would still recommend it for woodwork.

An excellent primer for a range of materials - works well on MDF and vinyl wrapped kitchen doors - do prep properly though, and if ambient is below 15 degrees C, place can in warm water for half an hour after shaking, then shake again before use. easily sands back to a smooth finish ready for a cracking result with the top coat.

Bought this to go with another paint related item to primer and then paint furniture with. I will be the first to admit it completely went the other way and I will be sticking to normal paint in future. The item however was exactly how described and the best price I've seen for that item anywhere.

Yes, that's right. You might just as easily paint your item with water for all the use this so-called primer is! I am used to using Halford's type spray primers and modern acrylic spray paints on metal items but chose this make for a change because I was also using it's top coat and naively thought the two would work better than two products from different manufacturers. Well, even though I have many years experience spray painting and I used the spray on clean, wax free, dirt free metal on a warm dry day without wind, the paint ran everywhere and barely stuck to the metal. Using it at 30cm from the item just meant that it ran all over the place and was too 'wet'. Pulling away further to get a thinner and dryer coat only meant the paint disappeared into a cloud of mist and didn't even find its way to the metal. And all this on a day best suited to spray painting!

It is thin watery and completely useless. It doesn't bond well to metal even when dry. It is therefore worthless as a 'Primer'.
