I own three books on Russian grammar, and this is the one I use most often.I own RUSLAN RUSSIAN GRAMMAR by John Langran, and A COMPREHENSIVE RUSSIAN GRAMMAR by Terence Wade. A Comprehenseive Russian Grammar, I barely use, and although Ruslan Russian Grammar is a good book, I still use this by far the most often. I go back to it again, again, and again.

I recommend this book for anyone tackling Russian. A good quick read every now and then helps your brush up grammar and contains useful grammar tables too.

Very good beginner's grammar text, but... 31 May 2004
By Bighairydoofus - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is the first Russian grammar book I picked up and it's quite good, but Schaum's is better. Don't get me wrong, I've used and can recommend both, but if you only want one, get Schaum's Outlines of Russian Grammar by James S. Levine instead of this one.

Russian in plain english! 13 Oct 2008
By Angie - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a fantastic book which explains the complexities of Russian grammar in plain english. I must own half the books ever written on Russian grammar but this one just explained things in a simple straight forward manner giving excellent examples and the practice exercises were meaningful and worthwhile. I also liked the way it tackles grammar in small bite sized chunks building as you go without overwhelming you with new vocabulary.

By Steven Larsen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
All important spects of basic Russian grammar are presented here in very clear, well ordered format. each section covers a different topic, with a clear explanation, and a few simple exercises to trest your understanding. If you need a review, are looking for a supplement to your school text, or are talented at learning languages and want an intro to Russian grammar I can absolutley recommend this book as the best of its kind.
Good buy and Excellent buy if bought used 18 Jan 2014

I bought this book to just periodically review grammar and found the exercises very useful. The grammar explanations are sometimes terse, but quite adequate for the most part. I keep the book in a handy spot and occasionally do a few units of exercises to keep from getting rusty.

I'm Russian and my wife's not, she's learning Russian and she's using this book a lot when I'm getting lazy explaining stuff.
