Reviews

One of the hottest properties in the comedy world, Russell is known to millions as a panellist on BBC Two's Mock The Week and as the host of his own show Russell Howard's Good News on BBC Three.

But it is on stage where Russell really comes into his own. Now for the first time you can get both of his critically acclaimed DVDs in this stand-up boxset.

Volume one was recorded at The Bloomsbury Theatre in London during his sell-out Adventures tour. Volume two was recorded at The Brighton Dome during his twice-extended sell-out Dingledodies tour, which played to more than 125,000 people.

Volume 1 Extras: Russell Howard On The Road - Behind The Scenes Tour Film

Volume 2 Extras: Alternative Ending / A Bit of a Natter Q&A / Live at the Apollo 2007 / Live at the Apollo 2008

If you are a fan of Russell Howard's Good News show on BBC3 and have yet to see any of his stand up shows, I urge you to buy this box set. It contains three different tours of his, Russell Howard Live, Dingledodies and Right Here Right Now. They are all his typical brand of anecdoctal humour with a positive spin on life. Lots of reviews on here have said his first DVD, Russell Howard Live is just a rehash of material from his time on Mock the Week, whilst it does contain a lot of similar material, for me it still manages to make me belly laugh, so therefore its a winner in my eyes. Dingledodies is probably my favourite out of the three, the energy this man has on stage in unbelieveable! I was honestly howling with laughter throughout the whole show. Right Here Right Now is also spectacularly funny with many hilarious stories involving his family, particularly his brother, it makes me wish my family were as mad as that! Also, if you like Russell's 'It's not all doom and gloom' part of the show on good news, then you'll enjoy his list of things that make you happy on this DVD.

All in all, a great collection for any fan.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas 2011 as we both like his series Good News but the real reason I bought it for him was because I wanted to watch it haha
To be honest I was very disappointed with the first disc, I just think he spoke way to fast and it wasn't very funny. The second disc was slightly better but the third disc (his 2011 most recent tour) was by far the funniest and had me laughing just like I do when watching him on Russell Howard's Good News.

If he wasn't so attractive I'd be more disappointed with the collection (and may have wished I only bought the latest tour as this is what I originally intended to do) but I don't feel that I've lost anything because I got to watch 3 DVDs with him on rather than just the one!

At first i was unaware of how well russell howard performs at stand up, having only seeing him on mock the week. But after going to see him live, i realised his true talent. So i bought this collection of recent stand ups and enjoyed every one of them.

I bought this as a gift for my brother. We re both fans of mock the week with Russell Howard being our favourite. Both the dvds were very funny only downside was that a lot of the jokes on the first dvd we'd already seen on mock the week and live at the apollo.
