The deciding factor when buying this knife were it's trendy looks! - After all, don't all electric knifes do the same job? Well I straight away found out that even with normal dexterity that this knife was not going to be easy to use!! Try holding down the safety release lock and squeezing to operate - Very uncomfortable indeed! Our last model had a much easier thumb operated switch! Imagine my surprise when cutting a french stick the plastic joiners on the blades started to melt and the knife just fell apart! A serious design flaw when making this by the usually reliable Russell Hobbs! Do not buy this product - Consider something else!!

My knife, like the first reviewer's, fell apart after very little use. Very disappointing for a product marketed as heavy-duty (blades for frozen meat included with the one I bought) from a good brand name.
