4.0 out of 5 stars An oldie but a goodie........... 19 Oct 2003
By A Customer
I ve owned this particular toaster for quite a while now and have had no problems with it whatsoever. The shiny chrome surface does need a bit of polishing now and again to maintain its appearance. However, the top of the toaster does actually become a bit charred with age but overall its a great, reliable product that is good value for money.

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY!! 8 Feb 2008
I bought this toaster to replace my original(same model} but this has to be the worst toaster i have seen as it burns toast on one side whatever setting it is on , the carriage will not stay down unless it is forced hard, I am just about to smash it into oblivion.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty poor performance 7 April 2008
Our toaster is 18 months old, and is now refusing to stay down when the lever is pressed. A solution which sometimes works is to switch off at the wall, while holding the lever down, then switch on again. You shouldn't need to do this of course, but overall it also sometimes burns the toast on one side & not the other, and generally, although it looks the part, I wish I'd never bought it.

The appearance of this toaster looks fine, however looks can be deceptive! All previous reviews highlight an inherent problem i.e. The toaster lever not staying down as it should. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING: DONT BUY RUSSELL HOBBS
I would leave very negative feedback if this was possible. Button wont stay down unless held for at least 10 seconds. Not very good when had for only a year. DON'T BUY.

1.0 out of 5 stars burnt hand and toast
I realise that my misfortunes with this toaster might relate just to the one I bought, but I would not recommend this product. I tested it three times with normal sliced bread. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars It's a top toaster
Simple lines, easy controls, half decent toast. Has a tendency to char the edges of unevenly sliced bread. Imagine toasters as cities. Read more
