Product Description

Product Description

The Heritage range from Russell Hobbs is the latest addition to the portfolio combining traditional styling with modern functionality. The range has been launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Russell Hobbs K2 kettle, designed and manufactured in 1960. The K2 kettle quickly became a style icon and must-have appliance during the 1960s and 1970s and was considered the most wanted gift on many wedding ists!

Modelled on the iconic K2, the Heritage Kettle mimics its curved lines and ergonomic design. The kettle features a rapid boil 3kW concealed element for easy cleaning, 1.8 L capacity with pull off lid and rotating base, making it suitable for either left or right handed users. The rear water gauge is the ideal solution for seeing the fill level of the water. Displayed in cup sizes, you only need to fill the kettle to the number of cups you need - great for saving energy as you boil only the amount of water you actually require. The removable washable anti-scale water filter will prevent scale particles from reaching your drink and the handy power on indicator illuminates when boiling.

    Great product 25 Jan 2011
I didn't want a jug style kettle because i find them difficult to hold, which really limits your choice. I chose this kettle because of the other good reviews, and because I liked the styling and the fact that it is larger than most others - I often find I have to refill the kettle and boil it again which is a nuisance and uses more electricity. I'm very happy with it. The only downside is that if you want to refill it immediately after boiling then the steam burns your hand when you take the lid off, but you can fill it via the spout to avoid that problem. I also like the fact that it turns itself off when you take it off the base, which my old one didn't and often resulted in an empty kettle trying to boil.

Some people have commented about a chemical taste from new kettles, but I didn't find that at all with this one.

It also arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered it, even though I chose free delivery rather than speedy. Very impressive!

An excellent choice 17 Jan 2011
    By Chrizie
This kettle is excellent in every aspect, quick and quiet to boil, easy to pour and looks fantastic. My only grumble is that the water guage only starts at 1 liter but you soon learn how much water you need by weight.

    stylish 13 Dec 2011
I love the looks of this kettle in my kitchen. However I do not find it quiet, as some reviews had said it was. The handle is directly above the lid, woe betide you if you decide to open the lid to refill the kettle, as you will be hit by steam, it's OK if you fill from the spout. After boiling, the kettle needs to be left for a second or two or the water spurts out of the spout leaping over anything you had intended to put it into.

    Quick, but noisy and wasteful
This 3kW kettle is as rapid as any normal plug-connected kettle can be.
However, it is very noisy and it is not very easy to hold a conversation when this kettle is boiling... Read more

    It Looks Good?
I bought this kettle off the back of the previous reviews. My advice is if you can try before you buy, it looks good but it is expensive, noisy & rather slow to boil. Read more

Frankly it's a ridiculous price to pay for a kettle. It's a good kettle, but no better or worse than most of the other kettles on the market at half the price. Read more

I brought this kettle after looking at so many different ones and wasn't disappointed - a proper traditional kettle that boils as quick as a flash ;-))
