The 18169 Russell Hobbs Fryer is ideal for smaller servings of food. Its 1.2 L oil capacity enables you to fry up to 500g of tasty food making it ideal for cooking for up to two people while the easy lift handle system allows you to raise and drop the basket in order to view the progress of your food through the large observation window. The variable temperature control allows you to chose a temperature up to 190°C and the lid and basket are removable for easy cleaning.
Deep Fryers are ideal for cooking chips, onion rings, fish fingers, croquettes, chicken nuggets and many more foods to perfection. They offer the ultimate in convenience cooking (some foods can be cooked straight from frozen) and produce delicious cooking results.

Having tried several other mini fryers in oblong metallic, although this takes up rather more space, it's by far the best. No oil leakage, easy push button lid opening, easy to fold handle, easy to carry, flex coils inside, and it does exactly what I want, to cook for one. I didn't mention the large viewing window on the lid as just like the rest it steams over and you have to raise the lid to see at what stage you are at. I thought this needed a deduction, but I'm so happy with it, as I can't award 4.5 I'm giving the full 5 stars

Having become bored with the (admittedly) healthier but not very tasty oven chips, I decided to buy a deep fat fryer and although I was tempted by the cheaper ones on offer, I decided to go for this one. It was larger than I'd anticipated, but still fits neatly into a smaller cupboard. I like the way the handle folds down when not in use, the basket rests on the side while the chips are draining, the lid closes properly and opens with the click of a switch, and the oil heats up very quickly. The cable is stored inside, which is an added bonus. In terms of capacity, it will hold enough chips for two people, and oh, those chips, mmmmm!!!
