3.0 out of 5 stars No fill indicator 15 Nov 2009

Simple and straightforward kettle. Brushed steel appearance looks good in my kitchen. However, it lacks a fill indicator which means you need to open it to see how much water is inside. This is a major annoyance for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Kettle 20 Oct 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
The Russell Hobbs 17874 kettle is a well finished and attractive product. It's efficient, good looking and boils very quickly.

The only thing I am not keen on is the filler size. Because of it's design I found the filling opening restricted and a little awkward.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good cattle for the price. 7 Mar 2010
By mixa
After realizing that boiling water in plastic few times per day and drinking it is maybe not the healthiest thing we decided to throw the old cattle and get this one. It is all metal inside, not even plastic indicator for the water level.

Good:
It is fast and has fancy button which opens the top automatically.
Well designed and comfortable to hold. Not too big, not to small.

What's not so good:

Noisy, I guess that is price for the speed.
The top lid could open a bit more.
Its metal body gets hot so don't touch it.
Overall, for the price it is very good, my wife and I like it and could recommend it to buy.
