The Russell Hobbs Black Filter Coffee Maker is designed to look good and make you a mouth-watering cup of delicious filter coffee, whenever you want it
For the ultimate in convenience, when the brewing process has finished the coffee maker will keep switched on for two hours, with the hotplate keeping the coffee hot, should you decided to have your coffee a little later.
The brew strength control on the coffee maker is perfect when brewing five cups or less, or if you prefer your coffee to be slightly weaker or stronger than normal. The non-drip valve is also extremely useful, as it prevents coffee from dripping onto the hotplate whilst the carafe is removed. For your convenience the filter is permanent and a water level indicator is located on the side of the machine for precise filling, it also has an auto shut-off feature which switches the machine off two hours after brewing has finished.
The Russell Hobbs Black Coffee Maker will make up to twelve cups of delicious filter coffee at a time.

For the price, it is a very good value. Coffee strength feature works ok, but I prefer always on the strong set-up. The size of the pot is good for a small family, or when received a couple of guest. Plastic are cheap but good enough, and more important the pot and handle are strong parts. The only downside is that you will have to switch off the machine yourself as there is no feature self-power off feature.

I was looking for a cost effective coffee maker that delivered what it promised. Good coffee and a reliable device. It also had to look quite smart.
Having read the plethora of reviews for the vast range of coffee makers available, I got to realise that many products were just way over engineered or, more precisely, over technical just to be able to explain the higher prices. All the device needs to do is filter coffee and keep it hot, not leak and be easy to use. I've never seen the need to 'programme' a coffee maker! Looking OK is also a requirement.
The 15215 does exactly what I need from a coffee maker. It's got good capacity, makes excellent coffee (I set it on 'strong' and leave it alone). All you do is add coffee & water and switch it on...Job done.
It is simple to use , I've not had any issues with ensuring the filter section is aligned correctly. It is used every day and we've had no problems to date.

This style of coffee maker is now hard to find in the shops, because it is seen as somewhat old-fashioned compared to the "pod" machines. However, for those of us that still like to use filters and ground coffee, this does the job well.
One small negative - you have to take care when pouring, as the jug has a tendency to drip.
