The iron has a large 1 L detachable water tank which means less time is spent re-filling. With 1800 W of power, the Russell Hobbs Steam station Iron has a powerful 40gm/min maximum steam rate. For even easier ironing, the iron has a stainless steel soleplate, designed to glide over an array of different materials. For removing wrinkles from furnishing fabrics, curtains or hanging clothes, without taking them down, the vertical steaming facility will let you do this with ease and if required, the Steam Station can also be used as conventional dry iron.

How to make life easier,

After l5 years of sterling service my old iron was well past its best. My choice of the Russell Hobbs Steam Station was made after seeing Amazons ad and the fact that the price was definately right!I was not disappointed. Sleak, lightweight,and easy to use, what more could you want. I cant say ironing is my favourite occupation, but the Russell Hobbs makes it almost a pleasure.

My 5 year old Philips GC2510 steam iron performs better than this 'steam station'. I wish l had not been lured by its claims and the price. A real disappointment. I have however used another similar steam station which was an absolute dream to use, especially for shirts and linen sheets and only wish l could remember which make it was - definitely not Russell Hobbs!

Bought this item thinking this would do, but found that it was not quite good enough for what i wanted with just 40gm/min of steam.The iron it self was of ok quality but it is true to say you get what you pay for.The item was returned and a more expensive iron was perchased.
