this iron does not live up to its name at all. its got a very short cord which makes it uncomfortable to use. the steam does not flow, it always needs the steam button to be pressed and it doesnt move smoothly on the material. it is also quite heavy and is very disappointing indeed

I bought this in May 2010 and right from the start I was not impressed. It did not glide well, it spat and the sole plate soon developed burn marks which were difficult to remove. It also dribbled warer from the filler. I live in a hard water area so always use de-ionised water so limescale is not a problem. Today (Nov 2011) the iron got hotter and hotter until smoke was coming out of it! All in all a bad buy.

A good general purpose iron with the vertical steaming an added bonus. Not too heavy yet performs very well. Excellent for trouser pressing. Not quite as good as predecessor and no chord storage as it just falls off the supposed area for such. Overall on a scale of 1 to 10, my wife and I would give it a seven.

Rather heavy
The iron does the job, but it is on the heavy side. Below a certain level of water, it stops steaming and needs topping up. It gets up to a reasonable temperature.

Russell Hobbs 14733 steamglide pro.
Love this iron and it does make a big difference to a job I hate.Heavier than my previous iron but takes enough water to do most of ironing. Very good for removing creases.
