Designed by Russell Hobbs to help save you time, this stylish two slice toaster has been found to toast in half the time of another leading branded toaster helping you stay on top of the busy breakfast rush. It’s wide and long slots are specially designed to accommodate all sorts of bread sizes and it has a number of functions to meet your toasting needs, enabling you to toast bread from frozen, reheat cold toast, cancel mid-cycle and toast bagels. Toast in half the time, the Quick 2 Toast helps ease that morning rush while also saving you energy and money.
Wide and long slots to fit larger slices
It can be frustrating when bread is just too big to fit into toaster slots, so Russell Hobbs has designed the Quick 2 Toast to help fit these larger slices. The slots are both longer and wider to accommodate larger sized bread and speciality breads.
Easy-to-use with a number of functions
The Quick 2 Toast has a number of easy-to-use features which glow once pressed to confirm their selection. For simple toasting, choose your browning level with the scroll up and down buttons on the control panel. For lightly toasted opt for level one, and increase the browning up to level six for darker toasting; the button glowing to confirm your selection.

Other functions include:
- Frozen. Bread taken directly from the freezer is browned to the same degree as fresh bread thanks to the Quick 2 Toast altering the toasting time.
- Reheat. Toast gone cold? There’s no need to reach for another slice as the Reheat function gives a short burst of heat that warms the slice without burning it.
- Bagel. The Quick 2 Toast only heats the inner toaster element on bagel mode serving up bagels that are thoroughly toasted on just one side. By not heating on both sides, this prevents the outer side of the bagel from burning.
- Cancel. Stop the toasting process at any moment with the Cancel button which lifts up the carriage to easily eject your toast.

First of all, this product will look great in any kitchen. Despite the exterior of it being metal, it has a cool-wall facility, meaning you won't burn yourself if you touch appliance accidentally.
The 'quick cook' feature on this toaster is a great idea in theory, but as other reviewers have pointed out, the browning can be quite uneven. Additionally, this toaster has a 'grabbing' feature when toasting to ensure your bread remains upright. Also, when the bread pops up there is a brief beeping noise (like some microwaves) to remind you that it is ready.
In spite of the toast being a bit unevenly brown, I think this is a good product. The toast you get from it is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

This unassuming little toaster looks much like any other, gleaming chrome and black, with easy to use digital controls to adjust how dark you want your toast and settings for toast, bagels, reheating and defrost. It is also equipped with one of those "helpful" bleeping alarms you normally associate with microwave ovens, to remind you that your toast is ready.
The slots have enough width for bread, sliced bagels or similar toasting food, but they lack the depth or length to handle some of the larger loaves we can buy, so some people may have to rotate their slices to encourage all over browning. On that subject there are a few issues. There are six browning levels, but from level three and above the end result ranges from black to acrid, smouldering charcoal, none of which I find palatable. Level one gives us warmed but not golden bread, and level two is a little darker than I personally prefer so it's best to hover to get the best results. Fortunately, the claims of it being a fast toaster are no idle boast. The elements inside look almost like those old electric bar heaters and light up the chrome shell like a miniature sun, so it does get very hot. Bread toasts very, very quickly and if you time it right, the results are wonderfully golden, crisp, light and fluffy toast.
For speed I can't fault this toaster, but for me it lacks the finesse needed to deliver perfect toast to suit all tastes.

I don't know how time dependent your toast making is but this toaster is definitely speedier than anything which I've seen before.
It also has the sophistication of different settings - you can toast just one side of your bagel and toast from frozen or even reheat toast you've made before.
It's larger than I was expecting, quite wide and squarish in shape, so its kitchen footprint is larger than my last toaster but it's pleasant looking enough in chrome and black next to my Brita kettle. There are some little hooks to keep your electric cord tidy so all in all it meets the function and looks test. Four stars earned and I've had some lovely crisp toast for breakfast this week.
