At the heart of the Nevada Kettle is a 3 kW rapid boil concealed element for easy cleaning, plus the kettle also has a low-powered element for use with the keep warm function.
The keep warm function can be selected by sliding the switch on top of the handle towards the kettle; when in operation, a light will illuminate. This function will be particularly useful to cooks or anyone who needs a constant supply of hot water.
The two-stage illumination feature further adds to the visual appeal of the kettle, as well as giving an at-a-glance view of which function is currently operating. When the window light glows blue, this means that the kettle is powered but the boil switch is off. When the window glows red, this indicates the boil switch is on and the water is heating to boil.

I researched this kettle and was waiting patiently for my old one to conk out to buy this one. Well, I was not disappointed when it was finally in my kitchen. Here is a list of what I like about this kettle:
1. The rapid boil feature which comes on most good make kettles.
2. The nice all polished stainless steel design right down to the base. When
the kettle is empty, you can actually see the bottom. The quality of the
stainless steel is very good because it is not lightweight.
3. The clear viewable window on both sides showing how much water is left.
4. The pretty lights that don't really serve at anything because for the two or
three minutes it takes to boil a kettle, you don't have to be that smart
to know when it has finished boiling. It is however a very
nice feature.
5. The push button top, which contrary to what other people have been writing on
other sites, opens up far enough to be able to fill up from the tap.
6. The most important feature (which I nearly forgot) is the keep hot button
which keeps the water hot for that second cup. It is just a silver button at
the top of the handle that you push upwards. There is a small illuminated
light next to the button to show that the feature is on. I always have a
second cup of tea in the morning and the water stays boiling hot for as
long as you need it. This was the main reason I chose this kettle.
It looks really classy in my kitchen even with the lights switched off from the mains. There is also a brushed stainless steel version available so be careful if you are ordering online and you specifically want a polished version. It does make more noise when boiling than any kettle I have had but I don't mind at all because when it stops making noise and you are next to the kitchen, you know when the water is ready. There is a little bit of stainless steel that also lines the handle to give it an elegant finish too. All in all, a very nice purchase and we are well pleased.
Finally, this kettle may be a little on the pricey side because after all, a £10 kettle can boil water just as well but if you shop around, you will find them considerably cheaper.

Our 10 year old kettle broke down a few months ago, and we had been looking to replace it with a kettle that would have: (1) 3000 W (2) non-plastic finish (3) with a nozzle big enough to pour bottled water in without opening the lid. We had seen many kettles before finding this model in our friends' house. Our friends (who by the way had been also recommended this kettle by their friends) had owned it for some time and could not recommend it enough: 3000 W (instead of 2300W) guarantee a quick cup of tea, style of the kettle also blue / red light illuminations were a further attraction to it, so we lost no time to buy one and have been delighted using it for three months now. Highly recommended!

This kettle is very pleasing on the eye. I have had a number of stay warm kettles and without doubt this is the best. It is very quiet which is unusual for stay warmers. Excellent rapid boiling. The kettle feels comfortable to use and is a very cleaner pourer with no spillage and drips.
Now for the down side, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.
Very awkward to clean by hand unless you have very petite hands. I live in a hard water area and so always use descaler which works excellently.
Unfortunately my kettle has developed a fault. The chrome on the lid release button has started to lift after just 6 months.
I reported the fault to Amazon and it was dealt with in a professional and efficient manner. I just wait to receive the new replacement and then download a return label to send the faulty one back. The replacement arrives just two days after reporting the fault. Now that to me is good service.
Despite the fault I would still recommend this kettle. With back up service from Amazon I have no cause to worry for the next 12 mths again.
Now for the down side, hence 4 instead of 5 stars.
