I bought this toaster as looked good, had all the features, except....slots weren't big enough for a standard loaf slice: a good 2cm of the slice of bread stayed 'out' of the slot and so wouldn't get toasted. Ended up returning it.

The only bread whioch fits in this toaster is from M&S. Any other "normal" sized bread won't fit in.

I ended up returning this toaster after putting up with it for a couple of weeks. The slots do not take a standerd size slice of bread an inch or so is left sticking out of the top and not toasted.

Controls very awkward
I hated this toaster. My fingers kept slipping off the button when pushing it down and it wouldn't stay down properly either. Not a good buy.

So disappointed
Always trusted Russell Hobbs, purchased a kettle at the same time, that is fine, but this, which looks nothing like the picture shown, is very poor quality. Read more

Russell Hobbs 13899 4 Slice Compact Toaster in white and chrome
Bought as a present for a friend and she loves it as it is a great toaster for a family of 4. No faffing about with it and it makes great toast.
