3.0 out of 5 stars Shame about the mixer! 1 Mar 2004
We got this breadmaker for Christmas. Views are mixed! It certainly makes GREAT pizza dough - and in 15 minutes!!! Others functions are all good (those that we have tried...). Biggest disappointment is the fact that it's a nightmare getting the loaf out of the tin... it sticks to the arm that does the mixing! That also seems to stop the bread cooking through... the bottom quarter of the loaf rarely cooks and always seems to be very doughy. This may be due to that fact that it makes it in a "sideways on" style ... i.e. about six inches square and eight inches deep rather than in a traditional loaf shape. We're hooked on breadmakers but are already looking for a better model

4.0 out of 5 stars Breadmaker 16 July 2005
Overall very good the only complaint I have is the silver coating on the outside is starting to bubble and flake off I have lots of other appliances (silver) and this hasn't happened to them.

3.0 out of 5 stars great bread ,awful build quality!! 28 Aug 2007

i write this as i ask for yet another replacement i bought it in september and the bread pan bearing gave up in april, the replacement has now gone the same way and im awaiting a response from amazon. the bearing just gives out and becomes loose putting oil into the dough mix, this is a bread maker for people who use it occasionally it wont stand up to wear and tear on a daily basis.that said it makes the most wonderful bread and the shape of the pan is great for sandwiches. shame it doesnt stand up to being used.
