For the fans that were there on this memorable day, this is nothing less than essential viewing.
For other diehard Riggies, this is pure heaven.
For the uninitiated, this presents an ideal opportunity to delve into the Celtic Rock phenomenon that is Runrig.
At nearly 3 hours long, and filmed in its entirety, and in remarkably good quality, this concert was the pinnacle of the 40th anniversary celebrations of this amazing Scottish group, whom many agree are the best live band around.
Nothing tops experiencing it in the flesh, but this comes a close second.

First, and most importantly, this is a fantastic concert by Runrig!
Unfortunately, the Blu-Ray is a big disappointment. The picture is very soft and the video quality is simple not up to the standard expected of Blu-Ray. To make matters worse the picture constantly changes size when the camera cuts away to shots of the crowd. This is very irritating.
The sound is also a disappointment - the stereo mix is thin and almost totally lacking bass, whereas the DTS mix is so bass heavy as to be totally overpowering. Something in between would have been appreciated.
So, to sum up, a fantastic show which deserves five stars let down by the poor quality Blu-Ray.

A must for all Runrig fans.....especially fans of their live outdoor and arena gigs-this double DVD will not let you down. The interaction of fans footage and that of the professional filmers was brilliant-it gave a view from the audience, even if you were not there. ! watched on my large Plasma TV, with my headphones on-so as NOT to annoy my neighbours...cranked the sound system up to 11.....over 2 hours of fun without taking my clothes off!!!!! A very well edited and produced DVD double pack......the crowning glory was when former lead singer Donnie Munro joined the existing members for a few songs.....and a truly inspirational version of the classic "An Ubhal As Airde"......"The Highest Apple", a Runrig Classic only Donnie Munro can do justice to!!!!! All in all, well worth my money, a truly excellent 2 DVD's to my ever increasing Runrig collection. If live music is "your thing"...this package is well worth a look!!!

DVD delivered to my local amazon locker free of charge on the day of release and got it blaring out at present - not many better ways to remedy a dreich Scottish Monday evening! Some fantastic camera work and very pleased to see the gig was recorded in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound (disappointed a couple of times of late to find that bands haven't been doing this). I have my surround system on and feel like I'm at the gig!

I was at this concert and know what an AMAZING day it was. Nearly 3 hours of Runrig at their very best, and the DVD has not been edited from the original set list, the WHOLE concert in it's entirety. The only thing I think is missing, if anyone who was there remembers, is Bruce singing 'Parting Glass', after the rest of the band had left the stage. This does not detract though, from what in my opinion, was the best Runrig concert EVER, and it's all here on this DVD for your complete enjoyment. Go on, treat yourself, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

What can i say runrig at there best they keep getting better all the time. There Are afew tracks on this conert that the band haven't played for years. But the highlight of the whole thing is to see donnie munro back on stage singing with the band.
Must for fans.
