excellent book if your thinking of starting a boarding business 18 Sep 2010

I'd had an idea that as i love dogs and so does my partner, we could start a boarding business but didnt know where to start. This book is perfect to get you on the right tracks and has definatley helped with our decision to go ahead with this venture. It is a really easy book to read and would suit anybody who wants to get into this busniss but doesnt know where to turn.

I bought this with a view to purchasing a local kennel which was on the market,but as an ex veterinary nurse it didn't tell me anything new about the day to day practicalities of running a boarding establishment.However there was a great deal of extremely useful information about other factors ,such as working out potential profits and the role of organisations such as RSPCA which I found very informative.Incidentally,using the formula provided for determining whether the kennel would be profitable meant we didn't proceed with the purchase-I would have dropped about �10,000 in salary from working 15h/wk in the NHS to working 7d/wk for myself!

A great book - though I've only had a few 'flick' throughs as been out of the country but from what I've read so far it is a very good book to have and covers such a vast amount, I can't wait to sit down and read it properly!!!
