Format: Paperback
This book is simply amazing. The author has completely exposed a life's journey from head to toe of her core being. I firmly believe that this book has the power to empower every human being that decides to be true to oneself and chooses to look within to find out who they `Really' are? As opposed to whom they `Think' they are, or 'Portraying' to be via the consistent pressures of daily life under the socially conditioned society that we live in. The positive affect that this book has had on me is absolutely liberating to say the least. I particularly related to each and every word and sentence from each opening chapter. Those 26 paragraphs at the start of each chapter were refreshingly `REAL' and I totally related to each and every inspirational word that expressed how ALL of us really feel inside within ourselves, searching for inner peace, fulfilment, happiness, contentment, joy, love, purpose and self worth.

To me, this book is a real turning point and I passionately believe the soulful emotions oozing out of the author, therapeutically going through the motions of her life's journey, shadowed by her lucrative purpose as a top long distance runner and to find what we are all looking for in this sometimes illusive and fickle world; is absolutely enlightening. Through the window of Julia's Soul, I could clearly see the inner beauty, integrity, sincerity, passion, drive, pain, suffering, giving and receiving that was imminent in her journey of life so far - `Destiny'. Julia Armstrong has created a very powerful inspirational tool for any human being that wishes to find there true self, and live and breathe by their inner values and beliefs system. This book is the ultimate X-RAY vision of ones' core being, that encourages righteousness, truth, commitment, focus, and something deep within us to simply just be you.

If I may sum up this book in three words, REAL, ZEAL, HEAL.

The story of Julia's life and running career makes for a great read, and the insights throughout are relevant, if not essential, for anyone and everyone!
Her character is consistently warm, generous and engaging, even as she hits setback after setback, falters, learns from her mistakes and moves on - which is the real marathon effort within the book's 26.2 chapters.
A great book for anyone looking for a little direction alongside a cracking read.

I met Julia in 2010 as she was helping me in my goal to run 50 marathons in 56 days across Europe. I found her to be a great Friend and mentor. She gave me a copy of her book and WOW! It is very humbling to read a story about someone who speaks so honestly about problems and issues which many people will be able to relate to. A great read!

Once I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. It is beautifully written and one very soon becomes empathetic with Julia. It is true story of her life as a talented athlete and the ups and downs of her struggles as a ŷoung person. Despite the many downs her personality manages to shine throughout all her struggles. It is a good read.
