***STEPHEN KING ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***

"PUT ME DOWN AS AN ENTHUSIASTIC CHRISTOPHER SMITH FAN. SMITH IS A CULTURAL GENIUS."

DESCRIPTION:

In the second book in the international best-selling “Fifth Avenue Series,” a former Wall Street titan who robbed the world of billions is now out of prison. Good for him, but not for those who put him there. Now, they are dying grisly deaths by the hands of two hired assassins.

Investigating is private investigator Marty Spellman, who soon learns that all isn't what it seems as the twists pile up along with the sheer number of the dead.

Spellman's life is put on the line. His family is threatened. No one is who they appear to be. Who can he trust as the bulls of Wall Street start to run as the two assassins--Vincent Spocatti and Carmen Gragera--fully ignite their killing spree?

"Running of the Bulls" is approximately 93,000 words or about 310 pages.

A TOP 100 INTERNATIONAL BEST-SELLER

#1 INTERNATIONAL BEST-SELLER IN "MYSTERIES & THRILLERS"

A COMPLETELY STAND-ALONE THRILLER FROM THE WRITER OF THE SEVEN-MONTH INTERNATIONAL BEST-SELLING THRILLER, FIFTH AVENUE!

THE THIRD IN THE FIFTH AVENUE SERIES, FROM MANHATTAN WITH LOVE, IS NOW AVAILABLE. IT'S ALSO A COMPLETELY STAND-ALONE NOVELLA.

RAVES FOR CHRISTOPHER SMITH:

***JIM ASHLEY ON FIFTH AVENUE AND RUNNING OF THE BULLS***

Smith is this generation's Master storyteller. If you're a fan of suspense thrillers and unbelievable twists and turns, you will quickly become a fan of Christopher Smith! He entices you to fall in love with his characters only to be caught totally off guard when their fate goes in a direction you never saw coming. He takes the styles of James Patterson and Steven King to a totally kicking level. I can honestly say that I spent way too many late night hours reading chapters because I could not put it down and couldn't wait to see what he would do next. Starting with Fifth Avenue, he builds such entertaining and deep characters that you know this cannot be the end but just the start to future stories interweaving these strong individuals. With Running of the Bulls, you're so caught in the action - that you're honestly rooting for the characters that would historically be the bad guys in other tales. Christopher seems to set the bar higher and higher for himself, and I can't wait for his upcoming releases in 2012. A definite must read for mystery, suspense, and thriller lovers!

***PLANET KINDLE ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***

"Fifth Avenue, the first novel by penned Christopher Smith, is a fantastic first effort and was the reason I was simply unable to put my Kindle down over this Christmas period. And I would go as far to say that it ranks as one of the best first novels I’ve ever read."--PLANET KINDLE

***P.M. RICHTER ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***

"Fifth Avenue. A big, big novel. A blockbuster? Yes. A bestseller. It should be. The author, at the beginning of the novel, thanks the people who introduced him to the 'real' Fifth Avenue. I suspect the real one could not be as interesting or engrossing as this novel. ...This is a highly recommended novel. It deserves the five stars." -- P.M. RICHTER

***JENNIFER LONG ON RUNNING OF THE BULLS***
"Christopher Smith did it again. This book is packed with suspense, and delivers both characters that you will love and loathe. A time or two near the end, I found myself actually on the side of the villains and I really hope those two show up in Park Avenue. The story moves quickly...as most of the action all happens in one day. Makes it terribly difficult to put down. Smith paints a great picture of every character- I found myself chuckling aloud a time or two. Well written, well planned- I am definitely going to be reading more from this author. Can't wait for Park Avenue!" --JENNIFER LONG

4.0 out of 5 stars Running of the Bulls 4 Aug. 2013

I quite enjoyed this story of chasing assassins round New York.

A very rich creepy old man wants to kill the people who put him in jail, so he hires assassins to do so. A PI is hired to investigate this bloke and so works out the link between the murdered people.

In the main, it was an exciting story. I was quite gripped with it. I'd read the first book some time ago, but couldn't quite remember it, but this was good as a stand alone book.

    Enjoyable.

    5.0 out of 5 stars What A Ride! 4 Jun. 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition
What an explosion of a book!! It had me gripped right from the first page. The twists & turns were amazing, it was a rollercoaster of a read which ran that smoothly that I finished it in less than 2 nights :)

I was very disappointed when I got to the end and realised the book had finished!

Have to say Mr. Smith as much as I loved Fifth Avenue, Running Of The Bulls is better, in lots of different ways. It's a cracking read!!!

I'm now off to buy book 2 & 3 in your Bullied Series. Looking forward to your release of the sequel to Fifth Avenue, you tied it in perfectly :))

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent follow up to Fifth Avenue 30 Nov. 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Highly enjoyable read. After enjoying Fifth Avenue earlier in the year I was really pleased when I saw there was a sequel. The story is fast paced and engaging with a good mix of characters. As with Fifth Avenue, I did find the ending came too quickly (almost abruptly, but not quite!).

Am off to try the Bullied series while hopefully Christopher is busy writing another in the Wall Street series!

3.0 out of 5 stars Crooked financier extracts a gory revenge 11 Aug. 2014
    Format:Kindle Edition
A former Wall Street titan who stole billions from the NYSE is out of prison. Now, he wants revenge on those who put him there, and anyone else who gets in the way. Murder porn as his hired assassins bump off the witnesses for the prosecution, filming the hits for their boss to enjoy.

Looks like a job for a private investigator! Huh? Even in New York you imagine that multiple murders would attract the attention of the NYPD.

A darker story than the author's Fifth Avenue (with which this is released as a "boxed set") - more action, less designer gowns.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping from the first page 22 Aug. 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved Fifth Avenue and Running of the Bulls is a worthy follow-up. Great story line, plausible characters, lots of twists and turns and a conclusion that, I confess, I hadn't seen coming. So full marks Chris..you kept me guessing to the end.
Surprisingly one or two editing/proof reading errors crept in here and there, but that's what you expect with a Kindle version and they certainly didn't detract in any way from the enjoyment of the story.
I haven't read the Bullied series..I'm not sure whether the subject matter is really my thing..but I enjoy Chris Smith's talents as a storyteller so much, I might just give Bullied a try.
What I'm really looking forward to is Park Avenue, the next in the Fifth Avenue series, hopefully later this year.
If you've not 'found' this series yet, I strongly urge you to do so. I promise you that you won't be dissappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning page turner 8 Jan. 2012
    Format:Kindle Edition
I'm already a huge fan of Christopher Smith having loved his first book Fith Avenue. Gripping page turner and couldn't put it down - great for the tube, easily finish abruptly on the tube as you reach your stop and picked up again on the way home, and you're instantly right back in the action packed illusive world of the characters. A great dramatic read that will keep you going right till the very last page!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good read 21 Sept. 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I bought it because I had read the first book, Fifth Avenue, and liked the style of writing.

It was a bit gory in places but, aside from that, it was a very good read. Strong characters (though some were thoroughly unpleasant)and I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next instalment, Park Avenue, which is due out early next year.

Keep up the good work Mr Smith!

Mediocre at best, busy plot with too much focus on violence rather than on a good storyline. Prefer James Patterson but wont give up on this author just yet.
