This is a great story and hugely enjoyed by anyone I've loaned it to - but the quality of the binding on my edition, 9780785116844, is truly appalling.
The pages have been falling out almost from the second I got it and not just one or two - dozens of pages fall out of all of the books in this series over this print run.

The Runaways is something that has appealed to me for sometme, though it toom some time for me to pick it up. You can blame the New X-men crossover for that. This is the third volume in the first series. And wow, was I impressed. I immediatly fell in love with it. ALso, the twists and complexities of the plot are really impressive. It had all the humour that I could want, and I admit to having become somewhat attached to the characters. The last time that this happened was ... well some time ago. Around Kyle adn Yosts run on New X-men.

The first three Runaway books should be on every shelf (comic collector or not). The final part of this 'arc' is heartbreaking/funny and unexpected. Its rare to see a comic where the 'bad' and 'good' guys are equally sympathised with (and loved!). In some ways I wish the books had ended at number three, because the ending is so perfect--but another part of me wants to scream--MORE! MORE! Because I fell in love with these characters so much (the latter wish came true), while the rest of Runaways is still stunning and jaw dropping--its never going to beat this.
