I've heard a few live recordings of Run To The Hills over the years, and I've always been a little bit disappointed with Bruce's vocals. Yes, it's a difficult song to sing; yes, Maiden were always in the middle of gruelling touring schedules when those recordings were made; yes, RTTH was always near the end of a very long and demanding set. But it is slightly disappointing when one's heroes fail to perform as well as they can. Well, now I'm happy! The lay off from massive tours seems to have done Bruce's voice a power of good, as this is the best live recording of this geat song that I've heard. Maiden play RTTH with a vigour that belies the fact they've been playing it for the last 20 years! Bruce's voice soars in the chorus. Spot on! Buy this! Buy the album! Buy the DVD!

The single is a very strong live performance from maiden from the rock in rio show. the three guitar line up definetly adds to the power of the song and you can hear every part of the band doing their bit. Then the crowd, they do extremely well and make it a great song to listen to. if you dont want to get maiden live then get the other single with the studio version. both singles have two great b sides from the Clive Burr era, which is what the single is all about, all the proceeds from the single got to the Clive Burr MS fund, so if not for the music do it for charity! buy the single! then both singles also have a video, the live single has the video recorded of run to the hills from rock in rio and the studio single has the original video revamped by camp chaos with some great eddie animation. both singles are great and definetly worth the money

An amazing re-run with better guitars, more guitarists and a newer sound. The band have made this six-man-combo-reunion-group work excelently. With six of the nine Iron Maiden band members the sound is louder, heavier and metaller. If you're gonna 'Run To The Hills', do it this way.
