Nothing comes closer in teaching both the elements, and improvisational basics of one of the hardest forms of Latin percussion, than this book and C.D.
Rumba is well and truly de-mystified, the individual drum parts shown clearly by a player and teacher obviously well versed in Western teaching needs. From the history and folklore, to modern musical interpretations; from technique, practice programmes and instrumental basics, through to quinto ride patterns and songs; All is covered.
