a fascinating guide 23 April 2009
By Pm
Format:Paperback
A fascinating guide book, from the island's geology to National Nature Reserve status - via human settlement, island culture, the Clearances, flora, fauna, accommodation, walks and community events...and beyond to the islands future as a beacon for sustainable human activity.

The author Magnus Magnusson, chairman of Scottish Natural Heritage (also known for Mastermind), has written a detailed, well illustrated, thoroughly researched and accessible book.

Format:Paperback
There is the best book I found on Rum. A little dull at times but the best one there is - well worth packing for a trip there.
