Reviews

Import from The Netherlands with English soundtrack
There is plenty to laugh again. Also in the third season of RULES OF ENGAGEMENT The five friends have their own rules when it comes to relationships. Married, engaged, and still unclear - they all end up in the most embarrassing situations. Russell (David Spade) is due to its blatant affairs properly in trouble, although his new assistant Timmy (Adhir Kalyan) do its utmost to help him. Jeff (Patrick Warburton) gets it doubly difficult when he discovers that his new friend Brad still more of men, and that his other half Audrey (Megyn Price) might have a sex toy! And as the wedding of Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich) and Adam (Oliver Hudson) is approaching, they find that it is far from easy to each other not to step on the toes.

Fresh, funny and with just the right amount of sentimentality, 'The Rules of Engagement' is one of the best current US sitcoms, and the show's third season is probably its most promising to date. Starring Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price as bantering thirty-something couple Jeff and Audrey Bingham, Oliver Hudson and Bianca Kajlich as their neighbours and younger couple Adam and Jen, and David Spade and Adhir Kalyan; as the sex-obsessed Russell, and his long-suffering assistant Timmy; the show's setup works well, and the show's plotlines and character setup is fairly similar to 'Friends', and in particular, to 'How I Met Your Mother'. The style of comedy is fairly broad, and the show is never cutting edge as such, but there laughs are consistent (Audrey and Timmy's secret car meeting about Russell in 'Poaching Timmy' providing possibly the best laugh-out-loud moment of the series), and though Jeff is still prone to foot-in-mouth comments, and Adam to effeminate mannerisms; the characters are never one-dimensional, and there is definite character growth in the show (which is always important in a sitcom). 'The Rules of Engagement' might not be the most revolutionary or inventive sitcom on TV, but it has all the right ingredients of snappy one-liners, funny but plausible plotlines, and surprising twists to make it well worth watching. For those who've seen the first two seasons, you'll find plenty more to like here, and for those new to the show, I'd suggest beginning with Season 1; but all in all, Season 3 of 'The Rules of Engagement' is definitely worth a purchase.

This is a fun American sitcom. This is the third season but you don't have to have seen the first two to enjoy it. Indeed this was the best season yet, the show really hit its stride. It centres around a long time married couple, Jeff and Audrey, played by Patrick Warburton and Megyn Price, and their friends and neigbours a young engaged couple named Adam and Jennifer, played by Oliver Hudson and Bianca Kajlich, both couples have wildly different ideas of relationships but still spend most of their time together. Also in the mix is Adam's frien Russell, played by David Spade, who is determined to remain single. A great addition to this season is the character of Timmy, played by Adhir Kalyan, Russell's smart, loyal but long-suffering assistant. Rules of Engagement is very well written and acted and funny. If you enjoy shows such as Two and a half Men you will like this as well.

The comedy and laughs continue in the latest season of Rules Of Engagement as these five friends make their own rules when it comes to relationships. Married, engaged and undecided - the gang find themselves in more outrageously compromising positions. Russell's (David Spade) unscrupulous sex-capades backfire - even with the help of his new assistant, Timmy (Adhir Kalyan). Jeff (Patrick Warburton) gets a double whammy when he finds out that his new friend Brad bats for the other team, and that his better-half Audrey (Megyn Price) might own an "adult toy!" And as their wedding day approaches, Jennifer (Bianca Kajlich) and Adam (Oliver Hudson) learn it takes two to tango...literally.

Personally I think Jeff and Audrey Bingham are TVs top comedy married couple.

It's refreshing to see the long term married couples get the spotlight.

I'm glad I purchased this series, I think the concept works through the stages of relationship development.

Fair play to Adam Sandler's company for producing this comedy.

Good range of characters. Not in the same league as 'Friends' or 'Frasier' but well worth adding to your collection
