Book Description

The Rule Of Standing On Tiptoe (Yaoi Manga)
A new student enrolls in Kosuke’s sophomore class in high school. As a perfect foil to Kosuke’s short stature, Raku is tall, manly and popular with girls. Although Kosuke initially feels jealous, he soon learns of Raku’s secret and is asked to keep it a secret. Raku finds himself taking an interest in Kosuke and they begin to grow closer. This is a high school romantic comedy about an odd couple!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book. 21 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I started reading this book on my kindle because there was nothing else to do but when I did start it was just so good I couldn't stop, I never lost interest and its wired how Hamcham looked at pretty girls but ended up with a guy. But if someone asked me to tell loads of people about this book I would tell everyone but the only bad thing is you can't buy it on paperback which is sad but honestly great book!

I love yaoi/BL and this was a definite great read. It's a soft, cute, and absolutely adorable manga! The artwork is cute and well done. The story line is great, as well. I'm glad I purchased this, it was definitively worth the buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars That- that- that was SO CUTE 24 April 2013

I'm not into yaoi. I generally read shoujo manga, along with some sci-fi/fantasy adventure manga. This is the first legitimate yaoi that I've read, besides Loveless by Yun Kouga. The story sounded cute and I was compelled into buying it.

As pointed out by other customers, the story is shounen-ai, rather than yaoi. (Personally, I'm relieved because I rather disapprove of mindless gratuity in what would be a sweet, innocent story.) I love how the friendship develops with Kousuke and Ham-chan (haha), focused on the development across their good friendship to fluttery feelings that follow. The manga wasn't too fast-paced, and the characters are endearing. Well done! Very sweet, very cute, very real.

My eyesight is poor, so reading it with the Kindle Fire is kind of difficult. The font size is relatively small, but provided you have decent eyesight and a decent-sized screen, it shouldn't be a problem.

And just to rant for the heck of it: I don't understand why EVERY MIXED PERSON in EVERY MANGA OR ANIME is blond. I just don't. Biologically, assuming that his father is NOT mixed (totally Japanese), Kousuke should have brown hair and eyes. *sigh* It kind of bothers me, since I'm also mixed (and I'm not blond, obviously), but not enough to detract from the actual story. Haha

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Manga 27 Feb. 2012

This is a amazing manga, you really feel like you can connect with the characters. There is alot of comic antics throughout that makes it a very entertaining read. I don't really feel that it should be classified as a yaoi manga as nothing "intense" actually happens aside a few innocent kisses. So for those of you expecting the usual in depth scenes may be disapointed but it's a worthy addition to any shonen ai/yaoi collection.
