Product Description

The Rule-Mate consists of a powerful Rule Bilge Pump and a new non-mercury float switch in a single housing. While fully automated, the pump will only turn on when the water level rises. There is no cycling and no battery drain. The pump remains off until the internal float switch rises. The pump then stays on until all the water is evacuated. The pump's internal computer senses no load (water) against the impeller and then shuts off. A detachable strainer provides easy access to the impeller area for easy removal of any debris. Each pump is easily installed with the pump and switch internally wired. A third wire allows the pump to be connected to a manual override switch if so desired. 500GPH open flow rate 360GPH with 1m head 260GPH with 2m head 12 Volt operation 2.5Amp draw 2.5Amp fuse 19mm Discharge pipe 100mm High 125mm Wide 82mm Deep 450g in weight

Bilge Pump 10 Dec 2011
By ##
Does the job. Appears to work according to the manufacturer's specifications. Early days so far but I have no reason to doubt the claims made on behalf of this product.

simple to install and works well 1 Sep 2011

This little pump is very simple to install. I purchased the helm switch accessory and highly recommend it as an option. It is powerful and quiet. The only complaint is that it requires a bit too much water in the bilges to trip the switch and activate automatically (thats why the optional helm switch).

Early in the game 6 May 2011
By daniel bates - Published on Amazon.com
A bit light and wants to topple over. Provided screws for securing it aren't very practical in a tin boat. The unit requires 2 3/4" of water to turn on which virtually submerges it and then shuts off with at least 1" of water left in the bilge which is a little disappointing. The third switch wire strikes me as silly in such an economy unit and will end up corroding somewhere it doesn't belong in our boat. Flunked engineering in school, but was able to wire it successfully with limited enclosed directions.

By far the best price I found. What I wanted, when they said I would get it! No complaints of any kind here. Thanks for the good service.
