I read this book over 5 years ago and absolutely loved it. Read it again just recently and it is still as good. The story line is as current today as it was when it was first published, this book as not dated at all. A grown up book which does not patronize or lose any of its excitement.

... This book is moving and thrilling, combining a breathtaking court case with the legacy of a long-buried evil. Quite outstanding!

(I read this because Dias's latest, POWER OF ATTORNEY, was Thriller of the Month, and was a fab read, too).

There's not much to say about this book except that it has all the elements of a great novel.

If truth be told, I was totally unimpressed with Dias' first effort. However, after some considerable time had elapsed I gave him him the benefit of the doubt and am now an unabashed convert.

I am slightly surprised that he hasn't achieved a higher profile, given the ease with which some less talented writers appear to have reached "stardom"!
