5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING SOUND FROM NEW BAND 3 May 2004
Format:Audio CD
So, first of all i have to say that i am a vex red fan and loved the music terry abbot and the gang made back then. now Septembre the new band of which terry is one third has reached a new height in the rock/grunge genre even if no one is aware of it just yet. there debut EP rule 3, has a fusion of the old vex red emotion and passion in every track that has the audience swept off their feet by the raw lyrics and crunchy melodies. it was obvious thet terry would not abandon the sounds of vex red (thankyou) but has managed to make it fresh and exciting just as it was for his previous band. now doubt he will be happy with the outcome of the diversiveness he has created, which isnt easy with a three piece band. this EP has such strong, heavy guitars, melody, soft yet powerful vocals that though, it is only four tracks, by the end its like you have listened to an entire album but still crave more. i certainly cant wait for the album to be released and i'm sure the vexers out there cant either.

5.0 out of 5 stars A new band thats ready for world domination!! 16 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
So hear it finally is- Out of the ashes of Vex red comes this little beauty. Terry Abbott has ditched the electronica of his past band and cranked the guitars up to 11! soaked in honest grungy emotion and a gorgeous production by Mr Ross Robinson(Slipknot,Korn,Limp biscuit etc..),'Conceal your intentions' is a breath of fresh air compared to the 'rock mainstream' we are being subjected to at present.
This single shows just how varied in sound and dynamic the band are, not easy considering their a 3-piece and its only 4 songs!! Lets hope Septembre match the popularity of Vex red and if justice is served they will surpass it!
Fav tracks??? hard to say,the first two 'I Am Weightless' & 'Always' are songs made to be bouncing to in a sweaty mosh where as 'Happy' is a more 'shake yr booty grunge style' song and finally '(Face)' will have you hanging on every word as it goes from beautifully quiet to beautifully big and loud!
This truely is a great introduction to a great new band, so go buy it you wont be disapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!!! 15 Mar 2004
Format:Audio CD
I was lucky enough to get a press copy of the EP. For those who loved Terry's voice in Vex Red, you'll be in for a treat. These new songs are awesome. You gotta love the combination of his moody emotional lyrics with hard rockin guitar riffs. I see Ross Robinson produced these tracks. Wow!

5.0 out of 5 stars Terry Abbot is amazing 5 Aug 2006
Format:Audio CD
I love VexRed....ok heres the scoop im in the U.S. and well noone knows anything about VexRed or Septembre but i do so that makes me happy...why....because if you haven't ever heard of either of these bands you should cause this is some of the best material out there....i got the VexRed cd from a radio station a promo copy and i listened to it and i loved it so much...then i went searching online and well there wasn't much about them so i decided to use some UK websites and then i found a whole mess of stuff on them and learned that VexRed had broken up and terry abbot had made a new band called septembre so i decided to buy the album...never listening to it but just cause of what i knew from VexRed and omg is all i have to say....it can't get any better....seriously i mean yeah they lost the digital beats but his voice is awesome and the whole feel is really really nice...but if you want a broader view of septembre...go to there myspace [...] they have 2 songs not on the Ep.....pretty pretty angry....and all i need is you...

I am weightless - really good one of there faster songs on the ep but is amazing has a really cool kinda grungy sound.

Always - Another amazing song the intro is really cool then they slow down with a clean guitar sound and terry really uses an emotional kinda soprano vocal scheme its really cool

Happy - its got a cool kinda VexRed sound too it and its nice i love the way that he holds his note with a kinda whimper not really heavy until maybe the latter half but the chorus is really cool

[Face] - this has to be probably the coolest song on the Ep mainly because is like an industrial ballad...awesome..

5.0 out of 5 stars ::septembre:: ep 13 Dec 2004
Format:Audio CD
Ok, so Vex Red broke up, yes they were a fcuking brilliant band, but you cant dwell on it, what you can do is check this ep out. It really is bloody amazing. A slightly more gothic band, without the electronic beeps like Vex had.
'I Am Weightless' - a riff Billy Corgan would be proud of.
' Always ' - brilliant song, great live
' Happy ' - emotional, beautiful song, full of life
' (face) ' - my personal favourite song on the ep, its relaxed,
but in a heavy way, beautiful piano and guitar,
and a really brilliant ending, i wont ruin the end but take it from me, it really is excellent. The lyrics of all the songs are incredible, not as dark and depressing as vex red, still brilliant, just a little more uplifting.
I have seen ::septembre:: live and they are bloody excellent, I even met Terry Abbott and he signed my EP for me, what a nice bloke.
Cant wait till the album!!
