I'm quite excited by these drives as they are 7200RPM and bus powered. This means they are fast enough for video, and unlike desktop drives, you don't need a separate power supply. In the past, power supplies were often slightly different for each drive. And power supplies are bulky and quite a pain to hook up in different places. Bus powered is the new convenient standard for me. And Firewire 800 is also increasingly necessary when copying tens or hundreds of GB of data. Portable, fast, fairly rugged, small. These are my new default drive for video.
