Ruby the Red Fairy 26 Aug 2003
Format:Paperback
this is the first in the Rainbow Fairies series, where 2 children help to save trapped fairies (the colours of the rainbow) in order to unfreeze Fairyland, frozen by Jack Frost. My 6 year old daughter loved this book and as a result I have brought the entire series.

I have an 8 year old daughter and both of us really enjoyed the story of Ruby. It is a very well thought out book and the story is easy to follow and simply written. The whole series of Rainbow Fairies has been enjoyed immensly in our household and I have even caught my son (aged 10) having a sneaky peek!!

My daughter was given this for her 4th birthday and we have just finished reading it. She loved it! She had no idea that fairies were real and that magic really does exist! It was a lovely book to read together, we read a chapter a night before bed and each chapter ended on a cliffhanger so she couldn't wait for the next bedtime. The story was simple enough for her to understand but challenging enough to include some new vocabulary and phrases. Highly recommended.
