Being an official Rubik's cube I expected the highest standards and for this to be the best cube out there....it's not. It was great for about 3-4 hours of play in the first few days I got it. After that the stickers start to peel and go white. The mechanism loosens and separates slightly. This affects the rotation and means turning each axis becomes annoying and fiddly unless each side is precisely lined up perfectly. Another mass made product designed to not last long so that you buy another one. Checking other reviews of Official Rubiks Cubes from Amazon, this seems to be the way the official Rubik's Cubes are heading. Poor quality and short longevity. Research some of the Japanese and Asian made Cubes for better quality, especially for heavy use and speed cubing. I would only recommend this cube for people who fiddle with a rubiks cube occasionally. Anyone who actually knows how to solve rubiks cubes or plays more than 10 mins a day shouldnt waste their time or money.

I bought this for sheer nostalgia purposes as I owned one the first time they came on the market. I couldn't solve the thing then and I still can't figure it out but i'm having a fun frustrating time trying. As for the cube itself it a very well made item. It turns smoothly and evenly and also looks good unlike a lot of shoddy looking imposters. Some other original cubes are quite pricey but this one was really cheap so I was delighted to actually get the 'real thing' for less money. Even the box is well made and you have the little triangle stand to hold your cube while your not using it.

Bought this to recreate my youth. Loving trying to remember how to solve it. Could do it when I was 14! A good quality cube and great fun.
