This is a great favourite (best for age 9-11?): My 5 year old is a bit small to wind it up properly though likes it well enough. It is dureable enough to stand most of the rough handling. It's easy to assemble and has a nice design with solid stickers to hold the parts from moving once in place.
A great success and teaches alot about basic physics! It needs aeleron adjustment to fly right and that does get the kids thinking, but the results are immediately rewarding when they work it out. It can go for dozens of yards over a warm park lawn, takes off from a runway or hand, glides well, has a spare (good quality) rubber band and is pretty good value all around.
Pretty garranteed fun with the right weather
