Glad this film has finally arrived on DVD. Malcolm McDowell is excellent as Harry Flashman and the rest of the cast is star-studded. Bob Hoskins, Alastair Sim and David Jason have small roles but Alan Bates and Oliver Reed have larger parts to play in a conspiracy plot.

THIS FILM WAS OVERLOOKED ON RELEASE BUT IS A GEM. A FABULOUS CAST FROM THE STARS LIKE ALAN BATES AND MALCOLM MCDOWELL, OLIVER REED AND JOSS ACKLAND, BRITT EKLAND AND HENRY COOPER, MICHAEL HORDERN AND LIONEL JEFFRIES, TO THE CAMEOS FROM DAVID JASON AND BOB HOSKINS IN THEIR EARLIEST ROLES. DIRECTED BY RICHARD LESTER AT THE PEAK OF HIS POWERS. IT'S A ROMP, A HISTORY LESSON AND A BLOOMIN' GOOD FILM.

This is definately One of the greatest English Comedy films of all time.
Malcolm McDowell,Alan Bates,Florinda Bolkan, and Oliver Reed lead a Fabulous cast of the who's who of the finest Actors who ever walked the Red Carpet of Greatness.
I've watched it over and over and still find comedy gags that I missed the last time,the Fun just doesn't stop from begining to end and its laughter from the start.
Harry Flashman,expelled at the end of "TOM BROWNS SCHOOLDAYS" goes back to school as the Guest of Honour after becoming a War Hero,even though he won decoration by accident.
An Outstanding Film and impossible to beat as far as the World of Entertainment is concerned.
A Remarkable piece of Comedy
