There are so many documentaries on the Queen and the Royal Family out now, particularly after the Diamond Jubilee. A lot have commentaries by so-called "royal biographers" that are just full of the tabloid-type opinions of hack journalists who attempt to analyze the failings and foibles of a group of people they have gotten no closer to than this Canadian ever has. The "A Royal Family" collection gives me, and I'm sure, a lot of other people, the facts about our Monarch and her family, and avoids the sleazy practice of psycho-analyzing them to justify a lot of the garbage one finds in the tabloids and tabloid programming. If you want a concise and true picture of the Royal Family, and an enjoyable history of the Windsor dynasty, this would definitely be the set to choose.
