Format: Hardcover
This is the start of the "Royally Wed" series which was originally intended to be a quintet about the royal family of the fictional island of Wynborough, but a shock ending on the last page of volume five opened the way to a further trilogy.

The series tells the story of the current generation of the Wyndham family, who rule Wynborough, largest of a group of three islands in the Atlantic not far away from Britain. The current King and Queen had five children: a son, James, and four daughters, Alexandra, Elizabeth, Katherine, and Serena. Tragically, James was kidnapped as a baby and appeared to have been killed in a fire before he could be rescued. Then, about thirty years later, evidence comes to light that the infant James may not have died, and may instead have been adopted by a family who have no idea who he is.

The first four books of the series tell the stories of the four royal sisters, and how each in turn, while trying to trace their missing brother, finds love instead. In this book Princess Alexandra, the eldest of the four sisters, calls on American rancher Mitch Colton, whose adopted brother she thinks may be the missing prince. But she has a long wait for his brother to call and in the meantime Mitch Colton becomes more and more interesting ...

In the fifth book the social secretary to the four princesses, Laura Bishop, does find the missing prince - and he is rather closer to home for Princess Alexandra than she expected, but I'll stop there before getting ahead of the story.

After searching for all the books in this series for ages, I have finally found them all. This book is a brilliant start to what promises to be a very exciting series.
I am now on book 2 Undercover princess which I has to get from the States because I couldn't find it over here.

stumbled across this book in a pile given to me by a friend, this has started an obsession to trace the other four books in the series.
the book draws the reader in instantly and has two story lines running simulaneously. one draws to a happy ending the other makes you start the hunt to get the other books.
totally enjoyable read.....

A beautiful start for the Royally Wed series! 20 Sept. 2001
By "virgie" - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
The series begins when Princess Alexandra of Wynborough learns that there's a possibility that her brother, who was kidnapped & supposedly died in America when he was a baby, may still be alive.
Alex hotfoots it to Mitch's ranch, hoping that his stepbrother could be the missing royal heir. Instead, she finds love & laughter in this most unprincessly setting.
While the premise of the series is rather flimsy, Ms. Mallery does put out a very light & engaging read. Don't miss the rest of the Wynborough series (in order): Undercover Princess, The Princess' White Knight, The Pregnant Princess & Man Mercenary Monarch.

A Royal Baby on the Way 14 Sept. 2005
By Ali - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback
Back cover reads:

The Would-Be Queen...Mother

All-pomp-no-play Princess Alexandra Wyndham got a royal wake-up call when a letter, alleging the rightful crown prince was alive, arrived at the palace, compelling her to travel to the ranch of the most majestic man she'd ever encountered...to find the brother she'd never known.

Cowboy Mitch Colton was tight-lipped when it came to the whereabouts of his elusive stepbrother-the suspected long-lost heir!-though he rather grudgingly opened his home to Alexandra. Then very passionately opened his arms and his heart. But would thier romance survive their abiding difference...and the revelation of a royal baby on the way?

Alexandra is a Princess on a mission. It has come to her attention that her brother whom her family thought was dead really isnt. She and her sisters deside they need to go to America and investigate. Alexandra goes to the ranch of John Colton whom Alex and her sisters think is their brother and meets John's brother Mitch who tells her John isnt there. While she is waiting for John to show up she stays with Mitch and at first Mitch does not like her, but slowly there is an attraction that begins an affair. They wind up engaged after Alex finds out that she is going to have a baby.
Fun read 1 Mar. 2015

It's a quick read with likeable characters. The premise of the story is that 4 princesses travel to Anerica in hopes of finding a long lost and presumed brother. The story just drops off though without any more being known about the missing heir than was known in the beginning and nothing happened involving the possible lost heir either. There are multiple sisters though so maybe this plays out in a later story.
I enjoyed the book 20 May 2015

I enjoyed the book. However, I thought the main plot was about a brother that was kidnapped and the main characters were suppose to be looking for him. But the story line did not revolve around the brother, somehow his character just disappeared, in regards to the story line,
