Unfortunatley, a lot of the well know songs on the tracklisting are actually poor alternate/remix versions, so you dont get the full Roy Ayers sound and experiance that you might be expecting.
There is one diamond amongst the rough though, namely the rootsy "Black Family". So if you are an avid rare beat digger, there might be some value in tracking this song down on vinyl.
If you are new to Roy Ayers then try a different collection such as "Evolution....", "Destination Motherland", or "A Shining Symbol". If you are an established fan and are fiending for some more rare jazz biscuits, then there is better value in picking up the "Virgin Ubiquity" series as they contain a better collection of rarities.
