5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what it says... perfectly., 19 Feb 2005
By A Customer
The Good:
* Copies the entire disc or lets you extract just the main movie and audio
* Shrinks a 9 GB disc to fit on a recordable DVD
* Built-in Toast burning
* Brain-dead simple - one-click and go
* Dual-layer support

The Bad:
* Doesn't include any ripper software - but there's free products for that

That's it. I've used this on lots of my discs and works great. Easy, excellent quality. Best purchase I've made in a long time. It does exactly what it says for existing DVDs and you can now also use it as a way to burn from iDVD 5 without having an Apple supported SuperDrive. Just save the disc image in iDVD 5 and mount/burn it from Popcorn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Idiot-proof!, 9 Sep 2005
I have never burned DVDs before and so approached this with some trepidation! I am pleased to report that it is completely idiot-proof though. It was very easy to install and set-up. It does not rip DVDs so you do need other software to do that, but once you have done that it is very easy to burn them. I have had no problems at all using Popcorn and the instruction booklet is very easy to understand.
NB: I have Tiger on my mac and I found that I needed to download an update from the website before I could use Popcorn.
