5.0 out of 5 stars Popcorn 3 is good but be careful, 8 Aug 2008
By G. L. Stead (Yorkshire England) - See all my reviews

This software is good, but the makers support is below par. It's not made clear that you need a patch to make it work on Leopard, even though they say it will. Once you register the software you have to wait for them to send you a password to access their website to download the patch. In my case I waited three days for an automated response. In the end I managed to email them and they sent me one.
I strongly recommend that you read the users forum comments.
I thought I had a bad disc and reported it to Amazon and to their credit they sent another straight out. Got it the next day. Well done Amazon. Roxio could learn a lot from them about customer service.

4.0 out of 5 stars Takes the complication out of burning DVDs on the MAC, 4 Nov 2007
By Elizabeth Taylor (France) - See all my reviews
(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)
I purchased this software as I was trying to burn a DVD of some video files taken during recent vacation. I could watch them on the MAC but when I came to try and make a DVD I realised that this is one thing the MAC does not make easy. The concept in the MAC is of mounting disks and basically Unix terminology. The issue of Codex also complicates things which means if you within the MAC create a disk and burn it to a DVD (even if you choose this optin) your DVD player will not be able to read it.

Popcorn takes all the pain away, and, is very, very easy to use. When it loads there is a small box and on the left hand side are listed various options

DVD Disk (Copying a whole disk)
Image File (Copying a MAC Disk Image)
Video Folders (Copying Folders to a Disk)
Video Complication (Copying individual files to DVD)

You simply drag the item (either folder or file) into the area on the right hand side and away you go. Without this type of utility you will simply spend hours on the MAC trying to get it to work.

The only thing I didn't like was the price. This is quite simple utility and yet costs over twenty pounds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Create lossless DVD's with your EyeTV DTT (freeview) recordings, 3 Dec 2007
By pizzacake (England) - See all my reviews
If you have an EyeTV DTT, Popcorn 3 can take those recordings, multiplex them and burn to DVD in around fifteen minutes because it does not have to re-encode.
