This programme has many flavours, 22 Oct 2004
This review is from: Roxio Creator 7 - The Digital Media Suite (CD-ROM)
I originally purchased Easy Media Creator 7 because it was less expensive than buying the award wining "Easy CD/DVD Creator" and "PhotoSuite" software packages separately. I was soon astonished to discover the many flavours of Easy Media Creator. It enables me to easily work with all digital media, including data files, music, photos, and video. The CD and DVD burning tools are marvellous and provide many great features for backing up and copying content to disc. The photo and video capture, edit, and create features make it simple to work with my digital video/still camera files with ease. You must try this programme if you own a digital video/still camera.

Very good selection of Tasks Very poor navigation & help, 16 Jun 2004
This review is from: Roxio Creator 7 - The Digital Media Suite (CD-ROM)
The complete program holds many useful and practicle tasks, creating DVD and CDs of Photos etc; C.D. label making with many templates and inlays; Slideshows of photographs etc. But the program uses somewhat confusing terms and guidance around the various tasks is not made very clear. Having used the program for a month now I still find great difficulty in navigating around the various screens; the limitations of the program are not outlined e.g. I created a slideshow of photographs (with all the trimmings - background muic titles etc) burnt it to a C.D. only to find it would not play back on a P.C. Not until I sent off three e-mails for assistance was I informed it would only play on a VCD player, but I was given specific instructions to get it running using Windows Media Player - this information would have been helpful on the Help file !
Summing up, I do not recommend this for a Novice or persons without considerable computer ability. Good program, pity about the guidance,

Roxio Rocks Again, 24 Mar 2004
This review is from: Roxio Creator 7 - The Digital Media Suite (CD-ROM)
This has to be without a doubt the most easy to use and complete CD/DVD creation and editing software on the market. Creating DVD from home movies is a snap with the included Video Wave 7 software, allowing seamless integration with the Roxio burning software. Easily create DVD style menus, add soundtracks, make the menus 3D, add unlimited effects to video and export it all to CD with Hollywood format Dolby Digital audio.
It can also burn VCD/SVCD and audio CD as well as MP3 disks. It also has support for Direct CD burning, allowing you to burn to a CD just as if it was a hard drive. Sounds too good to be true?
Quite possiably.....
At face value, this product has nothing on Nero 6, except its a lot slower than Nero 6 when performing any of the tasks that are shown on the box, and the minimum system requirements are a little optimistic. I would reccomend at least 2 Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM for the video editing.
You also want to be careful if you have a DVD-RW drive, not all are supported so it might be a good idea to check first (they released a patch for my drive), so I have taken one star off for that reason....
Its better than all of the previous Roxio programs that are avaliable, as well as (feature wise) it is better than Nero 6 too. Possiably a little expensive, but you pay for quality :)
