Roxio Creator 2012 is billed as the "essential tools for your digital life" and that pretty much sums it up. Over the years I've used a lot of tools to burn and view media and it has always been a struggle with formats and compatibility but this suite does everything I really need. I've used it to copy DVDs, convert DVDs for my iPad, and burn .ISO images, everything is very self explanatory and easy to use and it's great that I can just get the job done without faffing about.
I have also used it to make a DVD slideshow of the family I intend to send abroad for xmas, it was very easy to do and there was a lot of choice of themes, layouts and even background audio tracks, the result was very professional. I haven't explored the video editing too much so far but was able to splice together some clips without any problems (I'm running Vista).
The only thing I didn't like was FaceFilter Studio 2 which is a bit of an extra anyway, it lets you touch up photos and even change the expressions on faces. As a bit of fun it was fine but I didn't find the results very convincing (I'm not very artistic though!).
The suite isn't a substitute for any of the big expensive professional editing software, but it's perfect for home use and if you've got a hundred programs to deal with your media then you can ditch them and use this suite for everything and not have to worry about it every again, well worth the price and I highly recommend it.
