Good, if you don't mind reinstalling it every 2-3 months 24 April 2011

I purchased this product a while ago for my Window 7 64-bit SP1, I was initially impressed apart from the long install and loading times, however after 8 months, I have had to reinstall it about 6 times, as each time video wave and other programs that are part of this suite crash or encounter a runtime error at start-up. I have tried running it both with the latest updates and no updates at all, which make no difference.

The product has many features, which work effectivley and the buring files to a CD is useful

If roxio actually bothered to fix the issue mentioned above, i would have given this product 4 stars, possibly 5.

I would not recommend a roxio product for thier lack of support to fix the issues with this one

Well then, I have just found a novel way of spending an entire Saturday afternoon. Take one box of Roxio Creator 11 Pro and try to install it on a PC running W7 x64 and laugh and sing with joy at hours of restarting and, 'run time errors'. I actually counted 13 restarts in a 2 hour period and still some of the programs would not open and when you open the main interface, it always wants to restart.

Now I'm not one for giving up easily and I continued to persevere and evetually I got some of the features to work. The interfaces were bright and apparently intuitive and might have proved useful in the end, if one had all the time in the world. One of the main reasons I bought the thing was for its much vaunted slideshow maker but I was to be seriously disappointed in this respect. Yes, you can drag and drop pictures to your hearts delight but just don't try to add any styles or effects. Why? Well if you do, you'll find that you have to, 'upgrade' to 'Premier' which gives you licences for up to two years all at $59.00 a throw. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but this product suggests that it is the top of the range, why should I have to pay even more just to use things that come as standard in things such as, 'Muvee' and 'Photodex'? Then we move on to the final straw which was when I found that I couldn't add any music without ugrading, even my own music from my own piano! Doubtless Roxio will scream, "DRM" but I would scream right back, "money spinner"!!!

So, what do we have here? We have a pretty box of tricks whose tricks are mostly at your expense, it is plainly NOT compatible with W7 x64 despite all the comments on here. In this day and age there should be no mainstream software that you have to spend a whole day trying make even parts of it work. It should install straight out of the box with little or no fiddling and ALL the features should be available without expensive additional downloads. I never did try to burn a CD/DVD mainly because life is too short and I have better things to do with my time than struggle with badly designed software. This is a very poor show and accordingly, I would council strongly against this product.

I used version 5 and 7 on my old computer but they will not run on my new 64 bit machine due to compatibility problems. However, having purchased version 11 I find this too will not run as my new computer does not come up to the programs system requirements. This being so, I now have three versions of this program and none will work.
