5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing book written beautifully by a dying woman ., 11 Aug 2005
By Mrs. Hilary Jennings (Bradley Stoke, South Glos United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rowing without Oars (Hardcover)
As a Hospice nurse I have cared for a number of people with Motor Neurone Disease ( or ALS) and have often been moved by their courage in coping with the devastating consequences of this very debilitating disease. The author of this book has given me an insight into the strength of the human spirit that enables someone to still find joy even though everything that person holds dear is being lost, including life itself. An inspiring legacy.

3.0 out of 5 stars a simple and very honest account, 16 Aug 2005
This review is from: Rowing without Oars (Hardcover)
I bought this book having seen it reviewed in the paper and I am glad to have read it. It must be a very scary and frightening thing to have to go through, to be told you only have so little time left with the ones you love.Ulla-carin must have been a very brave person. Not a gripping page turner but read this for it's simplicity and honesty.
