This is a fantastic DVD, it contains some really useful exercises for conditioning and some great race footage and interviews. Paul Thompson is World Rowing Coach of the Year 2007

It covers the basics for those who are new to coaching or to high intensity rowing but there are great bits too for those wanting new core exercises or guidance on weights technique.

what a pity.. 23 May 2008
Disappointing .. spoiled by several almost pointless interviews and 'soundbites' .. The best of this CD is the 'video' of the rowers and for the first 3 chapters the tuition commentary by P. Thomson.. BUT Xenon Muller and others on Youtube can get you that...
The other chapters are are almost empty and uniformative 'parkinson level chat interviews and advice' .. Turn the volume down and look at the rower movement.
Do you want to know any thing ? Then Thomson's book (or better still Volker Notle's) is much better value.. The weights exercise demos.. might show you some technique but are almost useless for choosing a 'program'..
In short .. Tedius.. not something that you'll watch and watch again..
