First impressions of this product are good. It looks sleek and organic and because it's black a chap like me doesn't mind using it though I fear that it will take more than a hairdryer to transform my shaggy, grown-out crop into an "elite model look". This product also feels good. It has a sort of non-slip rubber surface which I'm sure will be handy if it's being used with wet hands. One thing that I was not expecting, however, was to like the auto-stop function, whereby a sensor in the unit causes the power to switch off when you put it down and switch on again automatically when you pick it up.

I thought it sounded like a bit of a gimmick when I read about that on the box. But it is quite handy because it would be a nuisance to keep pressing the buttons all the time. I don't know where the sensor is but it kicked in when it should and didn't when it shouldn't. Another positive: the lead is nice and long. With other products it can be awkward and short. So you can sit where you are most comfortable and not necessarily next to a mains socket! The unit also has a hook in the handle butt which will help with storage. But I think most competitor products can claim one too.

Now to some negatives. The jury's still out on the anti-static facility because I don't particularly ever remember being troubled by it in the past with other hairdryers, so perhaps the "ionic-ceramic" technology is just working quietly in the background. I was also initially impressed with the weight of this product. Weight, I like to think, is usually a good indicator of quality. However it is also a disadvantage in this particular area since if styling the hair for a long time one's arms begin to ache! Cold air shot worked.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Yes, it is as good as the previous reviews say. This hairdryer actually looks really good; very professional, cool even. The rubberised finish is very tactile and ensures no slip. Great attachments that really fit and don't drop off are a pleasure to use. I've tried both the diffuser and the nozzle and am very pleased with both. The diffuser gives nice big curls and waves, and the nozzle is perfect for the sleeker look. I don't know if it is the ceramic or ionising technology, but my curls have resisted frizzing for longer than usual, too. I am so thankful!
The automatic sensor is very good, and what a time saver when you're clipping and unclipping sections of your hair for styling. It works so much better than you would think it could. When I diffuse my hair, I'm always moving the hairdryer and making 'small vibrations' with it. The sensor had no problem with that. If your way of styling does not suit it, you can always switch it off.
You can see the high quality of the product even in the cord and the switches. Great tactile feel, but, as previously commented, you've got to be careful you don't accidentally change your settings with your grip.
The cool shot is fine. Last year, I bought a nice hairdryer for the same price that did not have ceramic technology, and the product was far inferior in quality and appearance. The diffuser did not give as good results, either. So, in terms of value for money, this is fabulous. Quality build, excellent results, new innovative features.
My only concern is that it is slightly heavier than other dryers. Not by much, but if you have mobility or strength problems with wrists, arms or shoulders, you might want to consider a lighter, smaller one.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Although I'm not the right person to review this product, my teenage daughter is really in to hairdryers etc. So I asked her to test this product. Here is her review:

When I first saw this hairdryer I thought it looked amazing. I loved how the box made me want to go and wash my hair and use it straight away. When I opened the box for the first time you could see where everything was. You could pick up the instructions and know exactly what went where and how you turn it on and get the different settings for different hairstyles. I especially liked how the hairdryer could make your hair into whatever style you wanted e.g. really straight hair; or you could add more volume to curly hair. I also loved how if you put it to the normal everyday setting, when you put the hairdryer down to brush your hair it would automatically switch off until you pick it up again.

There weren't many things I didn't like about this hairdryer, I liked it a lot but one thing that annoyed me was when I was trying to dry the other side of my head, the lead wouldn't reach so I had to come away from my mirror to dry that side which really bothered me.

All in all I think this is a very good hairdryer that has everything a person would need for drying their hair.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I should start by admitting upfront that I got this hairdryer free as a member of the Amazon Vine Group -- but I'd like to offset that by saying that if they called me tomorrow and said, "OK. You've had a while to play with it - would you like to either pay for it or return it to us?" I would send them the £40 without hesitation.

I was actually saving up for a Tourmaline T3 when I was offered the chance to try the Pro Sensor. I have used several of my friends T3s (the lightweight one and the full pro edition) and although I decided I wanted one because I loved the results on my hair I really wasn't sure which model was right - the lightweight one is a little flimsy and sometimes didn't seem powerful enough and I simply wasn't sure I could justify to myself (or anyone else) spending £130 on any hairdryer however good it seemed to be.

The Rowenta Pro-Sensor is a serious professional hairdryer. It feels expensive with a matt black, soft touch, slightly rubbery, non slip finish that is actually quite masculine - or salon style. Perfectly suitable as a gift for a guy. My partner oohed and aahed over it as though it was a boy's toy.

I've found it to have all the advantages that are claimed for the ionic / tourmaline / ceramic / infra red technology - which it has. i.e. my hair is soft, shiny, not frizzy and very, very manageable after I've dried it.

It has a handy auto on-off feature where you can turn it on and the motor cuts out automatically when you put it down or hang it up. This is brilliant when you are blow drying. It's much less useful if you're using the diffuser to dry your hair curly, because it depends on you having your hand over the back of the handle to cover the sensor.
