Guarantee depends on your country -- 1 year for UK, 2 for Germany (and Armenia!), and so on. Possibly depends on local legislation. This seems a well-built piece of equipment, I think a claim within the guarantee period would be most unlikely.

You don't descale it. You remove the build up of scale by removing and cleaning the scale stick. It suggests every 25 uses. I have hard water and iron twice a week, I clean the stick once a week and it comes out full. Also, I have to use 50% spring water 50% tap water to prevent iron build up as my water is also rich in iron. I know this sounds like a faff but I don't like ironing and this machine makes the job quick and painless so I think it's worth it. Also, since I have this iron my husband does most of his own ironing and some of the kids', it's that good.

hello i must admit i have never removed the water tank to fill it - i always fill it in situ via the lift up flap and a measuring jug which is a lot easier - however this morning i have removed the tank to measure it and roughly it measures 7 inches high - 7 inches wide and 7 inches deep and is a bit like a horseshoe shape - another thing i will say about this generator it is the best one i have ever had and i am most impressed with it - in the past i have had 3 bosch - all broke within the guarantee, and a phillips which really was just awlful and was returned, at the moment as well this is at a very good price i think the full rrp is about £240 - when this one eventually gives up the ghost i would definitely go for a rowenta again ( i have now had this one 8 months so lets hope it keeps going strong )

not sure, but currently have a broken wrist and am able to pick up the whole unit with one hand, the iron itself is light as is the steam button in short, it's the best iron I have ever bought in all my 74 years

As you look at the iron. You will see a little gap on the water tank, There is a lever in there. Pull it up hard as it is a bit tight and pull out and off
