This book is really helpful if you own an old Landy and you're interested in general renovation and restoration. If you're looking for a "start here and follow steps 1 to 1000" guide to a complete restoration you may be disapointed. It is not a manual. The book is a compilation of older LRO articles, some of which detail specific jobs, some of which are more overall understanding of a process (such as stripping a salisbury diff, which gives you enough detail to understand why you should probably leave that particular job to someone with plenty of experience). The articles are well written and useful in their own right, and I found this to be a useful compilation. The author is still writing articles for LRO, so to me a familiar face, albeit much younger in the photo's in the book!

Very disappointing - the title is very misleading and the book is little more than a few reprinted articles with no continuity. In my view a complete rip off - I need to remeber to avoid Brooklands in the future
