Regular characters Julian and Sandy and Rambling Syd Rumpo make a number of appearances, in amongst the usual comedy collage of sketches, songs, spoof series and news reports.

Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Think twice before selecting this particular sample CD. I have many of the later episodes and listen to them over and over in the car. This particular sample is from the earlier shows and is the selection of the spouses with particular memories for them. Without these memories the selection is not as good as it could be. It will still make you laugh but not as much as the later CDs. Buy it if you have the other ones as I did.

Personally, I thought this was a lacklustre selection. All your favourite (and not-so-favourite) characters are here (Rambling Syd, Peasemould Gruntfuttock, Seamus Android, Julian and Sandy, etc) but the sketches are a bit patchy and all four episodes were a titter-free zone for me.
Some of the sketches go on for far too long, the punchlines are weak and sometimes you can tell the performers are a bit unsure about (or unhappy with) the material.
Not one I'll be listening to many, many times.

Format:Audio CD
The product information was excellent. Having been an avid fan of the original radio series I knew what to expect and was not dissapointed.
The same applies to the other CD in the series.

Funny ish
This was good and funny, but I bought it to listen to over and over again; and, after one listen, I really don't think it's funny enough to listen to again. Sad.

Robins Memory review
Had been looking for an audio cd of "round the Horne" for some time several editions unavailable. Found these copies very acceptable. Can recommend this

This is just as I remember it on the radio as a child. I thought all episodes were the best!
