I'll keep this simple. For a tourist, especially one mainly visiting Wales' highlights, this would be great. As a Cardiff resident, I can say the information is very good, accurate and even makes me excited about doing things I haven't done in my own city! The restaurant reviews are pretty damn good too. However, it lacks the kind of detail that someone on a long holiday would want eg I spent a week in Pembrokeshire near St Davids, for which I found the guide gave me a good taste of what it would be like, but once on holiday I found only about 3 pages to be of use. Maps are average. Not great on holiday walks

Just back from a lovely holiday in Abersoch, the Lleyn Peninsular & this book proved its worth every day. Simple to use, took lots of their recs for eating out - invariably spot on, places to visit and it def had its fair share of quirky, unusual things to discover. Went to Portmerion just cos the book said to -and had a brilliant day in magical surrounding in the rain! Highly recommend this book.

An Excellent book for those touring Wales for the first time and for the returning visitor. The book is fairly comprehensive in its detail and description of the towns and villages as well as the places of interest.
It also covers means of transport to and from Wales and for getting about Wales once you have arrived. The listing of Accommodation and pubs is adequate. Overall one of the better guides.
