I was really impressed by this guide for Delhi, Agra and Rajasthan - It gives you fantastic information (sometimes we forgot to read parts i.e. about the trains over there, subsequently wishing we had as it would have saved us so much time!) The recommendations for the hotels and restaurants is impressive and made our trip so much more enjoyable. Definitely take this with you!

We're planning a trip to India in November partly to visit our daughter, who works in Dehli, and partly as a sightseeing holiday.
I purchased the Rough Guide to Rajasthan to help us make informed decisions on where to go in our very limited time in Rajasthan.
We're only there for about a week and a half - not long enough to do it justice really, so having an honest guide which I know we can rely on is esential.
Having built up quite a collection of Rough Guides now I always look at them first when choosing a travel guide book, I really like the way they are writen and usually agree with their reviews for hotels, restaurants etc.
We're looking forward to testing our latest purchase out!

Took this on a recent trip to India, its ok but the maps are awful - I know its a rough guide, but if the maps had any less on them they would be totally useless! Luckily we took the lonely planet version along with us as well and used their maps. The layout of the book can make it quite hard to find stuff at times, usually when you need it most! Its an ok guidebook, but when they say rough guide they mean it! Also it conflicts with the lonely planet a lot on various things which can get rather confusing!
